Crossport’s website crashed on the afternoon of Thursday, November 14.
We were notified about it on Monday, November 18.
Due to everyone’s involvement with TDoR, no one was able to look into the problem until Thursday, November 21.
It was discovered that the database on which the website relies no longer existed, and due to a server misconfiguration, there was no backup.
With the help of the Transgender Advocacy Council, who offered us a new host for free, the Wayback Machine, which allowed us to pull off most of what we had built previously, and the hard work of a few volunteers, the website has been 90% restored as of Sunday, November 24. There is still a lot of work to do rebuilding the Community Calendar, which is proceeding.
